It's a sunshine sort of day A time to go outside, away from everyone but you And maybe some kid who'd tag along Go to the fields Run Jump If you're lucky, swim It's the sort of day that You could really believe the sun was shining That the birds were singing That maybe, somewhere, you'd find your true love laughing But the sun won't shine today Late December in Montana, and it simply won't bother The birds have flown south, the ponds have frozen over And that sweet special someone has gone indoors I know that I feel this way now And I know how good How well and truly good it is But I don't know how I'll feel in spring.
